I keep this short and plain. This website is a set of static pages: there is no login, no user account and no database.
Who runs this website
Poultry Tech Expert (poultrytechexpert.com) is run by Dr. Yağmur Akgün as a personal, non-commercial project. You can reach me through the contact page.
When you visit a page
The site is hosted on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Like every web server, it writes a short log entry for each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser type. I use these logs only to keep the site running and secure. They are deleted automatically after 14 days.
The site sets no cookies and loads its fonts from its own server rather than from Google. To count visits, I use Matomo, a statistics tool that runs on my own server in Germany. It works without cookies, shortens your IP address before anything is stored, and shares nothing with anyone else.
Videos
Each article has its video from my YouTube channel. Until you press play, you only see a picture from this server and nothing is loaded from YouTube. When you press play, the player loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), run by Google Ireland Limited. From then on, YouTube receives your IP address and may store information in your browser, as described in Google's privacy policy.
Contact form
If you write to me through the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent to me by email through Formspree, a form service run by Formspree, Inc. in the United States; see Formspree's privacy policy. After you press send, Formspree may show a short check against spam robots (Google reCAPTCHA) on its own page. I use your message only to answer you and delete it when it is no longer needed.
No advertising
There is no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsorship on this site.
Links to other websites
The articles link to their sources. When you follow such a link, the other website's own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
Under data-protection law such as the GDPR, you can ask me what data I hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You can also object to its use and complain to a data-protection authority. Write to me through the contact page.
